Scott Ashley is managing editor of Beyond Today magazine, United Church of God booklets and its printed Bible Study Course. He and his wife, Connie, live near Denver, Colorado.
Mr. Ashley attended Ambassador College in Big Sandy, Texas, graduating in 1976 with a theology major and minors in journalism and speech. It was there that he first became interested in publishing, an industry in which he has worked for 50 years.
During his career, he has worked for several publishing companies in various capacities. He has been employed by the United Church of God since 1995, overseeing the planning, writing, editing, reviewing and production of Beyond Today magazine, several dozen booklets/study guides and a Bible study course covering major biblical teachings. His special interests are the Bible, archaeology, biblical culture, history and the Middle East.
Jorge and his wife Kathy serve the Dallas, Fort Worth (TX) and the Lawton (OK) congregations. Jorge was born in Portuguese East Africa, now Mozambique, and also lived and served the Church in South Africa. He is also responsible for God’s Work in the Portuguese language, and has been visiting Portugal, Brazil and Angola at least once a year. Kathy was born in Pennsylvania and also served for a number of years in South Africa. They are the proud parents of five children, with 12 grandchildren and live in Allen, north of Dallas (TX).
Aaron Dean was born on the Feast of Trumpets 1952. At age 3 his father died, and his mother moved to Big Sandy, Texas, and later to Pasadena, California. He graduated in 1970 with honors from the Church's Imperial Schools and in 1974 from Ambassador College.
At graduation, Herbert Armstrong personally asked that he become part of his traveling group and not go to his ministerial assignment.
Dan currently pastors 3 congregations in Wisconsin (Milwaukee, Oshkosh and Wisconsin Dells). He has been associated with God’s church since he was a young boy.
Dan has an Associate degree in Commercial Art with almost 25 years in the publishing/advertising field. He also has a Bachelor of Arts degree (in Theology) from Ambassador College (graduating in 1986), was ordained an elder in 1997 and then was hired full time in 2004 as a minister in United Church of God.
Dan currently lives just north of Milwaukee, Wisconsin with his wife Roxanne.
John Elliott was born to parents, Jack and Anne Elliott in 1951 at Pasadena, California during the early years of Ambassador College where his father worked. After high school John and his future wife Merrie attended Ambassador College in Bricket Wood, England.
Early work experience included electrical construction, electronics, and national sales for a trailer manufacturer before focusing on a career in television production. Following graduation he was instead hired full time into the ministry in British Columbia, Canada. Over four decades they have also served pastorates in Arkansas, South Dakota, California, Ohio and Arizona.
John and Merrie have three daughters that are married to men who serve in the Church, along with eight grandchildren. He currently pastors congregations in British Columbia, Washington state and assists the senior pastor of the Church’s operations in East Africa.
Serving on the Council of Elders is an important responsibility that necessitates one’s full reliance on God for inspiration and direction.
Active in the ministry of Jesus Christ for more than five decades, Victor Kubik is a long-time pastor and Christian writer. Together with his wife, Beverly, he has served in pastoral and administrative roles in churches and regions in the United States, Europe, Asia and Africa. He regularly contributes to Church publications and does a weekly podcast. He and his wife have also run a philanthropic mission since 1999.
He was named president of the United Church of God in May 2013 by the Church’s 12-man Council of Elders, and served in that role for nine years.
Len Martin is the pastor of the United Church of God congregations in Cambridge, Columbus, and Mansfield, Ohio. Ordained in 1999, Len has previously served congregations in Worcester, Massachusetts, Seabrook, New Hampshire, Ann Arbor & Lansing, Michigan and Dayton, Ohio. Len also serves as Camp Director for Pre-teen Camp Buckeye.
Len holds undergraduate degrees in engineering and information systems as well as an MBA in Finance. Len and his wife have been raised in the Church of God and have 5 children. They are very thankful for the Biblical truths on marriage, family, child-rearing and many other interpersonal relationships!
Darris McNeely works at the United Church of God home office in Cincinnati, Ohio. He and his wife, Debbie, have served in the ministry for more than 43 years. They have two sons, who are both married, and four grandchildren. Darris is the Associate Media Producer for the Church. He also is a resident faculty member at the Ambassador Bible Center teaching Acts, Fundamentals of Belief and World News and Prophecy. He enjoys hunting, travel and reading and spending time with his grandchildren.
Tim Pebworth is the pastor of the Bordeaux and Narbonne France congregations, as well as Senior Pastor for congregations in Côte d'Ivoire, Togo and Benin. He is responsible for the media effort of the French-speaking work of the United Church of God around the world.
Mr. Seiglie was born in Havana, Cuba, and came to the United States when he was a child. He found out about the Church when he was 17 from a Church member in high school. He went to Ambassador College in Big Sandy, Texas, and in Pasadena, California, graduating with degrees in theology and Spanish. He serves as the pastor of the Garden Grove, CA UCG congregation and serves in the Spanish speaking areas of South America. He also writes for the Beyond Today magazine and currently serves on the UCG Council of Elders. He and his wife, Caty, have four grown daughters, and grandchildren.
Rex Sexton grew up in Illinois and graduated from Ambassador College in Big Sandy, TX in 1976. He began a career as a construction engineer in the Nuclear industry at Hanford, WA , and was hired full time in the ministry in 1982, and earned a Certified Financial Planner certification in 1994. He and his wife, Patricia, have served congregations in Oregon, Washington, and Alaska. In addition to pastoring responsibilities, they have also taught at and directed youth summer camps for many years. Rex has authored many articles for church publications over the years and produced or appeared in several hundred Television programs.
Paul pastors in Southern Ontario where he resides with his wife, Coreen, and their three sons.
